Welcome to the Emerald Mountain Epic presented by Hard Headed. Every year, riders and runners flock to some of Steamboat Springs' most iconic trails to participate in our two-day trail event. You can expect to test your endurance, grit, and moral in what's come to be know a uniquely rewarding and truly EPIC event.

The Emerald Mountain Epic presnted by Hard Headed is Steamboat Springs’ premier single track race. We are a two-day EPIC trail race for bikers and runners alike, all while experiencing community, comradery, and competition.
The Emeald Mountain Epic is the biggest fundraiser of the year for two amazing local nonprofits, Routt County Riders and Partners for Youth. If you love trails, cycling, and supporting the next generation, your participation goes directly to the programs making it happen.
